I think so, not unless you are trading with the Introducing broker of your broker. The commissions varies and it depends to your IB. It is better to trade directly with your broker because the services are more affordable.

I have no idea because I only invested my money to a single broker. To answer your question, you should contact directly your broker and not your IB because as far I remember, IB has different types of marketing strategies to attract clients.
