I don't get what did you mean by barrier. Of course if the condition is not good we shouldn't force ourselves to trade as its suicide. For example when there is uncertain condition like high volatile market during the news, its best to stay away from it. But if you mean by barrier is some kind of failure, I agree we shouldn't quit easily.
