Stops are orders to buy above the current market price/sell below the current market price. They are mostly used to close losing positions at a determined exit point. Dealers are paying attention to larger cluster of stop loss orders, as they can attract price. Traders can use this information as exit points – e.g. closing a long positions once the pair takes out the large buy stops above level x.x – or as sign where NOT to place your stop.
