To be a successful trader, what should I focus on?
To be successful in the Forex, traders must have a structured approach to analyze trends that may influence their trades and be aware of both internal and external factors. Here are some pointers:

Traders looking to profit in the short term are usually less successful than those who are in it for a longer period of time. This is because short term traders often lack training, do not use sound strategies, and have only small deposits giving them no room to make mistakes. Medium term and long term traders are statistically more successful since they can stay in the market longer.

Successful traders are the ones who react to current market conditions while losing traders are the ones who spend much of their time trying to analyze where the market will go in the future. If you can react to how the crowd is behaving and formulate a plan to take advantage of it, you can find many opportunities to profit. Remember that it is much more difficult to be a successful analyst than a successful trader since analysts have to perform complicated studies while a trader just has to follow the market.

Good traders don’t just pay attention whenever they make a profitable transaction. Many lessons can be had by inspecting losing trades, determining how it could’ve been handled differently, and always being aware of risks.

Traders must learn to control their emotions to do well in financial markets. This means that traders should not let emotions drive their decisions, but they should also refrain from completely disregarding them.
